Research a CEO from one of the Fortune 500 companies. List the name of the CEO and the company that they work for. What type of education does he or she have? What is their approximate salary? How long have they held that position? What is their highest level of education?
I chose Hewlett Packard's Meg Whitman. She earned a B.A. in economics and a M.B.A from Harvard Business School. She has been the CEO for about 2 months. Her annual salary is $1 per year. Her highest level of education is college level.

My CEO is Mike Duke , the the CEO of Walmart. He has a Bachelor"s degree. He also has a salary of $18,712,721, and he has been in office for over three years. Mike Duke is also part of many other organizations as well.

ReplyDeleteI chose James McNerney, who was born on August 22, 1949 in Providence , Rhode Island.He went to Harvard Business School and recieved his Master of Business Administration in 1975. On June 30, 2005 he became Chairman, Ceo, and President of Boeing. He still holds those positions to this day. His annual salary is 1,800,000.

ReplyDeleteHoward Schultz was born to a German-Jewish family. He grew up in the Canarsie Bayview Houses of the New York City Housing Authority. His family grew up poor. He found escape in sports such as baseball, football, and basketball. He went to High School, he graduated from high school in 1971. He was very good at sports, he received a scholarship to Northern Michigan University. He was the first person to go to college in his family.

-Even though he grew up poor he made it. That gave him the drive to be successful, he didn’t let his past affect his future he made something of it.

Tim Cook is the CEO of Apple. Tim went to Auburn University and Duke University. Tim's salary is approximately 384 million. Tim has been in this position since October. His highest level of education is in industrial engineering.
ReplyDeleteI chose Gamestop's CEO, Paul Raines. He graduated from Georgia Tech with a masters degree in management. He has only been a CEO for about a year. Before going to Gamestop, Paul worked with Homedepot for eight years. Raines annual salary is about 26 million a year.
ReplyDeleteMy CEO is Michael Terry Duke, he was born December 7,1949. He is an American businessman, and currently the fourth CEO of Wal-Mart. He joined Wal-Mart in 1995, and almost recently served as the executive in charge of the company’s international operations. He became the CEO of Wal-Mart in February 2009. He earned a BS from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1971, where he was a member of the Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity, and now serves as a member of the institutions advisory board. He has been the CEO of Wal-Mart for 2 years. His current salary is $18.7 million.

The CEO I chose is Mark Zukerburg he is the CEO of Facebook. He was born May 15,1984 in New York. He learned how to use computers at young age. He attended Ardsley High School and during that time worked at at a company called Intelligent Media Group. There he helped develop the Synapse Media Player, a music player. Later, he attended Harvard University. There he co founded Facebook. Today Facebook’s net worth is 17.5 billion. His salary is 20 million a year.
