Netflix and it's Economic Impact on Your Household

All,

Netflix has been in the news over the last week because of corporate changes. Check out the following articles.

What do you think about Netflix's moves? How does your family view movies? Does Redbox pose a threat to Netflix? Do you remember small home video stores? What if you could receive all content via the Internet on your TV? What are the economic implications of this?

Think about some of the questions and post your response. Feel free to comment about other students (or my response).

Social Networking and it's Impact on Society

All,

Social networking is changing the way that everyone gets their information. News programs ask you to follow them on facebook, atheletes tweet information to their fans on twitter, and Ashton Kutcher posts a video of himself with or without a wedding ring to get a message to his fans. Think about social networking and it's impact on society today. Are businesses able to get information to consumers better? Should social networking be used in education? How can Facebook help stimulate the economy? Is there ever too much information?

Remember - Think outside of the box...
